(ANSAmed) - SARAJEVO, JUNE 28 - Judges at Sarajevo's War Crimes Court have today handed down 23-year prison sentences to three Bosnian Serb policemen from the town of Prijedor, 50 kilometres west of Banja Luka, for crimes against humanity committed in 1992, the first year of the Bosnian War (1992-1995).

The three former members of the Prijedor police force, Sasa Zecevic, Radoslav Knezevic and Marinko Ljepoja, were found guilty of shooting dead over 200 Muslim and Croatian civilians on the Koricanske Cliffs on Mount Vlasic on August 21 1992.

Two other defendants, the commander of the unit, Petar Civcic and the former guard at the Trnopolje prison camp close to Prijedor, Branko Topola, were acquitted due to insufficient evidence. (ANSAmed).
