fostering knowledge between the two shores of the Mediterranean
is important, and in turn fosters economic and cultural
cooperation, said Lazio region president Renata Polverini at the
ANSA-organised seminar at the Foreign Ministry as part of the
general assembly of AMAN, the Alliance of Mediterranean News
Agencies.
Polverini called the ''creation of a network of small and medium-sized industries to achieve closer collaboration between Italian regions and the countries of the southern shores'' an essential tool for economic development, and in this field underscored ''correct information in describing the situations on the ground'' as fundamental to increase trade in all areas.
