(ANSAmed) - TUNIS, JUNE 14 - The number of Tunisian
entrepreneurs opting to set up businesses far from their home
country is growing. This is seen in the latest figures and
especially as concerns Algeria and Morocco, where the direct
involvement of Tunisians in the two economies is steadily
rising.
In Algeria, the latest statistics from the National Commercial
Register show that there are 2,660 Tunisian-owned enterprises
operating in the country. The same situation is seen in Morocco,
where 600 enterprises with Tunisian capital are registered.
Analysts say that this is due to the thousands of Tunisians who have been driven to invest abroad by the huge difficulties their home country's economy is facing, as all indexes show, beginning with that of debt: from 23.6 billion dinars in 2010 it was at 25.4 billion at the end of the year.
