(ANSAmed) - ROME, JULY 2 - The pressure on Italian bonds eased further on Monday following last week's bond-support agreement at the European Union summit on the eurozone crisis. The spread between Italian 10-year bonds and the German benchmark, a key indicator of investor faith in Italy's ability to weather the debt crisis, dropped to 419 points on the day with a yield of 5.70% after closing at 421 points on Friday.

The spread fell by almost 45 points on Friday after EU leaders announced a deal to use EU rescue funds to help countries facing soaring borrowing costs.(ANSAmed).
