(ANSAMed) - ATHENS, JULY 9 - An earthquake registering 5.5 on
the Richter scale was recorded at 16.45 local time (13.45 in
Italy) off the island of Rhodes, a communiqué from the
Geodynamics Observatory said today.
The epicenter was located 131 kilometers South West of the
island and 10 kilometers deep. There are no reports of damage to
people or things.
Located on a fault, Greece is Europe's most seismic country,
with at least half of all European earthquakes taking place
